The Role

We’re looking for a seasoned Embedded Software Engineer with strong low-level Linux experience. You’ll be responsible for building and configuring embedded Linux systems from the ground up—including kernel setup, Yocto, build systems, and driver-level work. This role offers a high degree of technical freedom and the chance to shape future solutions in a close-knit engineering environment.

Job Scope

• Build and configure embedded Linux systems from scratch

• Work with Yocto, make systems, and custom kernel configurations

• Develop and adapt low-level drivers as needed

• Program primarily in C and C++

• Handle networking protocols (especially Port 64) and potentially AGS/Orint-level systems

• Ensure documentation and traceability of code and system configurations

• Collaborate with hardware engineers and other software specialists

• Influence technical direction and potentially grow into a lead or architect role

Ideal Candidate

• 7–10+ years of experience in embedded systems

• Expert-level understanding of low-level Linux (bootloaders, kernel, drivers)

• Proficient in C and C++ for close-to-hardware development

• Experienced with Yocto and make systems

• Solid knowledge of networking protocols – especially Port 64

• Self-driven and able to document work thoroughly, even if autodidact

• Speaks Danish or is motivated to learn

• Must be eligible for Danish security clearance

• Preferably already based in Denmark
