Lead the finance function and backoffice in a nordic leading solar development company.

We are looking for a proactive and structured CFO to take full ownership of internal operations and financial leadership in a fast-growing company focused on green energy. This is a broad and business-critical role – ideal for someone who thrives on responsibility, clarity, and the opportunity to create real impact.

You’ll be the right hand to the CEO and take charge of everything that keeps the engine running: finance, reporting, admin, HR processes, and compliance. Your work will enable the CEO to focus on commercial growth – while you ensure the company runs smoothly, professionally, and with a strong financial foundation.

Responsibilities

Finance & Strategy

• Lead all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting

• Prepare financial materials for investors, lenders, and internal decision-making

• Manage the relationship with external bookkeepers, auditors, and financial institutions

• Support fundraising efforts and financing strategy

• Develop dashboards and tools that translate numbers into insights

Back Office & Operations

• Build and run administrative processes across finance, HR, legal, and general operations

• Take full ownership of internal compliance, documentation, and risk controls

• Oversee HR-related routines including contracts, employment compliance, and performance cycles

• Maintain and improve systems for financial tracking, payroll, and digital administration

Sparring & Leadership

• Act as a strategic sparring partner to the CEO

• Help shape and implement the company’s financial and operational roadmap

• Drive clarity and accountability across the organization by creating structure, rhythm, and visibility

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CFO, Head of Finance, Finance Manager or similar

• Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, reporting, and forecasting

• Familiarity with HR, legal, and administrative responsibilities

• Experience from growth companies, startups or green/tech sectors is a plus

• Hands-on mindset with the ability to both lead and execute
