Technical Services Department Manager - Lead afterservice for global e-methanol solutions
Unique chance to lead the global service function in a ground-breaking company leading the way in global green methanol solutions to shape the future landscape of efuels.
Ready to Build the Global Service and Operations Function in a fast-growing leader within green methanol solutions?
We’re looking for a senior technical leader to take charge of a leading and growing a services department focused on large-scale process plants across Europe, US and Asia.
This is your chance to build something from the ground up – a strategic role where you’ll shape structure, grow a team, and help define how technical services are delivered globally. You will also play a key role in defining the services and products they deliver for their clients doing commissioning and afterservice. You’ll be part of a highly innovative and purpose-driven company working at the forefront of green industrial transformation, with proprietary technology and exciting expansion plans.
What do we offer?
• A key role in scaling a service function with global reach
• World-leading company with a first-in-class technology in Power-to-X
• A collaborative environment with highly skilled engineering teams
• Flexible working conditions and possibility of being based remote, but ideally in Iceland, Poland or Denmark
• A position with high strategic impact
Your primary responsibilities:
• Lead and grow a technical services team (currently 4 people)
• Standardize and structure service tasks for scale and efficiency
• Define outsourcing potential and optimize site execution
• Act as technical sparring partner across sales, commissioning, and operations
• Support the design of afterservice packages and modular offerings
• Ensure delivery excellence across international customer projects
We’re looking for someone who has:
• A background in mechanical/chemical engineering or similar
• Experience with process plant commissioning or operations
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing technical teams
• Worked with complex industrial setups – ideally in energy, oil & gas, or chemicals
• A hands-on approach and a passion for making services work at scale
Practical info:
• Based ideally in Iceland, Poland or Denmark - but remote could work
• Occasional travel to customer sites – the team travels mostly, not you
