We are looking for a proactive and commercially sharp Business Development professional with experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects to help lead the development of renewable methanol projects in China. This role is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of energy innovation, international business, and project execution.
You will be responsible for building and managing key relationships, identifying new opportunities, and supporting commercial and technical project development alongside our global team. The ideal candidate has both the local insight and global mindset to make an impact in a fast-evolving industry.
Responsibilities
Market & Partner Development
Identify and evaluate new project opportunities across China, especially within the green methanol and renewable energy landscape.
Cultivate relationships with EPC contractors, strategic partners, and government entities.
Lead or support negotiations for commercial agreements and project partnerships.
Project Support & Structuring
Collaborate closely with technical and project teams to align commercial strategies with engineering and execution plans.
Provide market intelligence and contribute to pricing, scheduling, and risk assessment for prospective projects.
Support structuring of projects from concept through execution, including financing models and stakeholder engagement.
Strategic Collaboration
Work cross-functionally with internal teams in engineering, legal, and finance to drive deal progress and project advancement.
Represent the company in key meetings, conferences, and industry forums in China.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in business development, preferably in EPC or infrastructure projects.
Strong network and understanding of the Chinese energy, chemical, or infrastructure sectors.
Proven track record of structuring complex deals and managing long-cycle sales.
Native-level Mandarin and fluent English required.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cultures and disciplines.
